Too many sweets makes you violent
17,500 10-year old children from 1970 have been followed into later life. Those who ate sweets and chocolate every day are more likely to have criminal convictions for violence in their adult years. 69% of daily sweet-eaters had such a conviction by the age of 34, compared with only 42% of non-daily-eaters. Researchers think that daily sweet-eaters are never taught how to wait for pleasure and therefore, in adulthood, are more likely to violently take what they want, regardless of the pain it may cause to others.

Eating too many sweets can make young people violent in later life. That is the findings of new research undertaken by Cardiff University.
