A new website providing a range of interactive ways of reading the Bible has been launched by Scripture Union.
WordLive.org uses creative approaches to help resource Christians and make the Bible more accessible to those of all ages.
The 2008 new year launch offers users free audio Bible passages, video clips, worship songs and prayer activities, as well as a daily Bible reading and explanatory notes.
Scripture Union (SU) sees the website as a natural extension of their main specialism - printed Bible reading guides. 'Our vision is for every 21st century Christian to be engaging enthusiastically with the Bible and growing in their faith,' says SU Chief Executive Keith Civval.
'WordLive engages with today's generation, who live a lot of their lives online, so we're meeting them where they are. We're able to give people access to a whole range of multi-media ways into the Bible that we haven't been able to do before in print... however, whenever and wherever you want to use them.'
