An Heroic Ministry
Introducing Pastor Steven from Rwanda:

Pastor Steven

Pastor Steven Turikunkiko has set up a community in Rwanda for victims of the genocide. 160 widows & teenagers & 80 younger children live with him; farming, sharing their lives and caring for those dying from AIDS. The community subsists on less than $1 per person per day.

At enormous personal sacrifice, Pastor Steven and his wife have also adopted 20 orphans - who live with them and their 2 other children.

Canada flagYoung people are horrified at the moral decline in Canada. As a result, TheCRY held a day of prayer and fasting for young people on Parliament Hill. It is estimated that 1,000 young people attended and a further 12,000 took part through podcast.

TheCRY have scheduled five such events for 2008-09; in Edmonton, Ottawa, North Iqaluit, Toronto and St. John's, Newfoundland.

Faytene Kryskow, director of TheCRY, said, "as a movement we believe we are building on a foundation that has been laid by so many who came before us and many who are now labouring shoulder to shoulder with us, it is exciting to watch the hand of God so clearly moving in Canada today…".
