Introducing Pastor Steven from Rwanda:

Pastor Steven

Pastor Steven Turikunkiko has set up a community in Rwanda for victims of the genocide. 160 widows & teenagers & 80 younger children live with him; farming, sharing their lives and caring for those dying from AIDS. The community subsists on less than $1 per person per day.

At enormous personal sacrifice, Pastor Steven and his wife have also adopted 20 orphans - who live with them and their 2 other children.

Christians urged to stay in Iraq

Previous | Next

Iraq flag"Please stay and help rebuild the nation - we need you!" That is the message being sent to Iraq Christians from the Vice President, Adel Abdul Mahdi this week.

250,000 of 800,000 Christians in the country have already fled from persecution at the hands of extremists, suicide bombing from insurgents and the excessive hardships brought about as a result of the Allied invasion.

The Vice President told a Conference in Paris this week that the Christian community is integral to the future of Iraq. He has called on Christians to remain in the country - and for the international community to help Iraqi security forces provide suitable protection for them.
