Pope Benedict and President Asif Ali Zardari are both concerned about religious discrimination in Pakistan. That is the message that has come out of recent meetings between the two leaders.
Religious tension has increased recently following the death by burning of eight Christians alleged to have desecrated the Qu'ran.
The two leaders have affirmed their commitment to the abolition of all forms of religious discrimination and affirmation of the right to worship for all.
